Checkbox Group control ignores Read only when using AJAX Service

When using a checkbox group with the configuration set to ‘Items From Service’, mapped up to an AJAX service and the Visibility set to Read only, the control is still editable.

BPM Version : 8.5.6

SPARK UI Version: 4.4.3.1 EE

Hello Amarie,

I was able to replicate this issue in our Test Environment. This issue will be logged as a bug and fixed in an upcoming release. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

It seems that the control opens as Read-Only, then is set to editable when the items are dynamically loaded. As a work around, I have added me.setEnabled(false); to the On Service Items event.

We upgraded to SPARK version 4.4.4  and we’re still experiencing issues with setting the visibility of the Checkbox group to ReadOnly when using AJAX.   Is this fix scheduled to be released soon?

This issue has been tested as Fixed for our next upcoming release, 4.4.5.

It seems like this is still an issue in BPM 8.5.6 SPARK UI 4.4.5 EE.

Hello Amarie,

Apparently there was a similar issue that was fixed for the latest release.  My apologies.

I have re-added this issue to be fixed in an upcoming release specifically with Items Loaded from a Service.
