    Hello,

I am not sure what the intended functionality is, so I wanted to ask: Can we copy data from read only fields? I have data that is entered in one step, but read only in another. I have requirements that the user be able to copy some data from these fields, but it seems for the most part, we cannot. If in IE-  we can copy text/text Area and integer fields that are set to read only, but we cannot copy other data fields. In Firefox- we cannot copy any field types. I know output text would allow us to copy anything, but I am trying to not have to maintain two separate items – one being read only and one being editable.

So, I was wondering which functionality was intended , not being able to copy or being able to copy. And, is there a way that would allow me to copy fields that are set to read only?

    Thank you!

    Hi Josh,

Unfortunately, this is a function of how Firefox interprets disabled form controls.  The intended function is simply to prevent the modification of the data.

However, the Stock control changes output text when set to Read Only.  I will address this with the Development Team to see if we should open a Feature Request.

    Regards,

    Hello,

I was following up on this to see if this is something that was put in for a feature request? This has come up on a few different projects we are working and I wasn’t sure if we needed to do anything to submit a feature request or if this was already in the works.

    Hi Josh,

I have modified your account to Enterprise.  Please use the Get Help menu at the top and click Submit a Ticket.

Please provide the required information for BPM and SPARK version with Enhancement Request type.  Input the desired use case and requirements.

We will be better able to respond to a formally submitted request.

    Regards,
