Date Sort Issue in Table

Hi

I have a table control containing output text controls and the output text control is bound to date variable with binding myBO.currentitem.dateVariable. I have added sort to this column by using configuration in table control and in columns used simple HTML and ticked the sort option.

Issue is sort is not working as expected for dates. for example : my dates are 7.12.2018, 29.10.2018,28.11.2018,26.11.2018 the sort is only working for dates and not considering the months while sorting. PFA

Can you please let me know any workaround to fix this date sorting or a possible fix
