We just upgraded our version of Spark to 4.4.3 EE for 8.5.6 and our Horizontal layouts are now only displaying vertically, no matter what the ‘Layout Flow’ is set to. We also tried using a Vertical layout control and setting the ‘Layout flow’ to Horizontal, and it still displays vertically.
SPARK SupportSeptember 8, 2016 at 9:10 am #2563Hello Amarie,
IBM BPM 8.5.7 now provides support for Themes in the Web Editor. The SPARK UI Theme is a superset of the BPM Theme in the System Data toolkit. As such it contains more variables than what is currently defined in the BPM UI Theme (or in a derivative you may have created from the BPM UI Theme). Without all the new variables defined in the SPARK UI Theme, the SPARK less file doesn’t find all the variables it expects to compile properly. This causes an error in Web PD and issues rendering SPARK Controls correctly.
To correct this issue in Desktop PD or Web PD, select Process App Settings from the dropdown menu. From the Overview tab, you will notice Coach Designer Settings in the section on the right. Click select next to Theme, and choose the SPARK UI Theme. Click the Save icon at the top. Your Coach View or service should render correctly.
Regards,
Stephen P.

SPARK SupportSeptember 8, 2016 at 3:20 pm #2597Hello Amarie,
The Download area has been updated to reflect a new SPARK UI Toolkit version 4.4.3.1 that now contains the correct CSS files needed for IBM BPM version 8.5.6.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and please let me know if this resolves the issue that you were experiencing or if you need any further assistance.
Regards,
Stephen P.
