When I set the ‘Link Type’ Behavior to ‘Boundary Event’ I understand it should behave as Button and should not navigate to any page.
This works well in Chrome browser, but when I test this in Internet Explorer (I have version 11) it’s opening empty tab with url javascript:void(0). Screen snap attached
I tried set the ‘Link URL’ to ‘#’ still not resolved. The documentation says Link URL is effective only if Link Type is URL, but seems in IE it’s not able to behave as expected.

Hi Saroj,
There is an option under the Behavior section of the Configuration for Open in Same Window. (See attached screenshot)
In the scenario I tested, checking this setting causes IE11 to behave as expected.
Which version of BPM and SPARK UI are you using?

Thanks for the suggestion. Now it’s working in IE11 also.
Interestingly the help instruction for ‘Open in same window’ is very specific to ‘Link Type’ as URL type and I never thought of enabling and testing it.
If possible can you update the instructions to mention the behavior for Boundary Event also.

Hi Soroj,
I see what you mean about the Help Text. Since this is only needed in IE11, I will add it to our Release Notes for the next version.
