I have added a “BPM File List” Coach View into my Coach but when I visit the Configuration tab in the properties pane, there is nothing there.  I have attached a screen shot.  I am using Spark toolkit 4.3.3 EE, BPM 8.5.7 and my browser is Chrome 50.0.2661.94.

The config parameters show up correctly when this coach view is in a Heritage Human Service.

This problem appears to be specific to the WebPD, because it happens within the Coach View editor, as well as the Client-Side Human Service editor.

I was going to start debugging this Coach View myself.  To that end, I copied the BPM File List to my current Process App from the Spark Toolkit … and SURPRISE … my copied version of the BPM File List shows the configuration settings.  It appears that there is something about the BPM File List Coach view within the Spark Toolkit that is causing grief.  A work around seems to be to “just” copy it to your local process app to get it working.

The original one in the Spark Toolkit can be seen to be throwing all kinds of errors in the browser console … so I’m pretty confident that the Salient engineers will be able to get a proper resolution when they get to it.  However, this workaround is satisfactory for my demos.

Part of our current iteration is working on the File controls.  We will do some testing on the issue you raised to make sure it is more stable.

    Neil, Ryan,

This is unfortunately due to a known Web PD bug: Config option that are complex-typed AND that are grouped under a Group Name are not rendered properly by Web PD in the Configuration Options pane.

There are 2 workarounds I can suggest for now:

    1) Move the control whose config option(s) isn’t properly rendered in Web PD into a “wrapper” Coach View, then edit the Coach View in Desktop PD – which will allow you to set/edit the config options for the control properly

    2) Edit the control of the SPARK UI toolkit to remove the Group Name associated with the property(-ies) that can’t be rendered by Web PD

This will only need to be done until Web PD config option rendering issue gets fixed.

#2 is simpler and faster but will be overwritten (and will have to be done again) every time you get a new toolkit release from us. #1 isn’t as simple especially because Web PD doesn’t yet support copy/paste of Coach Page/Coach View UI controls on the canvas, but once it’s done you won’t need to change it again.

    Hi,

I saw the same problem in 8.5.6 with client side human service.I was able to resolve this problem by adding a dependency of the Content management toolkit in my Process App. What I found was that if you have a complex object as a configuration option in your coach view.

And that complex object is referenced from a different toolkit. Then we need to have dependency of both the toolkits in the process app where we intend to use the Coach View.

    Regards,

I saw the same problem with 8.5.7 CF12 and Saikat’s solution resolved it for me too.    I added the Content Management Toolkit and all the configuration options appeared for the BPM File List from the Spark Content Management toolkit
