Single Select with Search

Hi all,

is it possible with SPARK UI to create a single select in which user can search for options containing some text? See attached example. I couldn’t find any suitable component. Single Select doesn’t allow typing, and Type Ahead Text doesn’t enforce restricted set of values. I also want user to be able to select one of options by mouse or arrow keys.

Hello Pankaj,

since Salient wasn’t interested in adding this functionality, we created our own component based on ComboBox from Dijit library (https://dojotoolkit.org/reference-guide/1.10/dijit/form/ComboBox.html).

This feature for type ahead text is not currently available with the Single Select control.  If you feel that this should be an included functionality out of the box, please submit an Enhancement request here as IBM now owns the SPARK UI Toolkit. (Currently included with BPM 8.5.7 CF201706 and higher)
