Single Select with type head search

We are looking for the function – Single select with type ahead search

Single select can search by typing the first n characters, but I need to type very fast, otherwise it will show items with the first character only. For example, I have a list of following sorted alphabetically

aab, abc, abd, bcd, bef, ehg

If I type ab very fast, it will auto go to the abc and abd items. If I type ab with a little bit longer pause between a and b, it will go to items starting from b, like bcd and bef.  Is there any configuration for this behavior? like control the delay between keystrokes?

This feature for type ahead text is not currently available with the Single Select control.  If you feel that this should be an included functionality out of the box, please submit an Enhancement request here as IBM now owns the SPARK UI Toolkit. (Currently included with BPM 8.5.7 CF201706 and higher)
