The issue below is specific to one of our client applications. We have tested using a new process app in the same environment with 4.4.8.1 CE and it works fine.
—————————————————————————————————————————————————–
When we click on a button from a client’s process application we get this –
Unable to get property ‘getParent’ of undefined or null reference
The file being referenced is bpmext.js (54,445)
So we tried using a different control – Checkbox and clicking the Checkbox presented the following error –
Coach framework caught exception when calling Life cycle API change() on view Checkbox1, Exception: TypeError: Unable to get property ‘getAbsoluteName’ of undefined or null reference
Any ideas what may be causing for the events to throw errors on these controls.
thanks
Sidhartha

SPARK SupportApril 21, 2017 at 10:38 am #4185Hi Sidhartha,
The General Exception Handler toolkit is incompatible with the Community Edition of the SPARK UI Toolkit. Use of the GEX toolkit with the Enterprise Edition presents no issues.
Please keep in mind that the primary purpose of the Community Edition is for developers to evaluate the controls contained therein.
We will be updating our Release Notes to indicate this incompatibility as a Known Issue.

Stephen P.
SPARK SupportApril 24, 2017 at 4:52 pm #4212Hi Sidhartha,
We were able to make a modification to allow the General Exception Handler and the Community Edition of the SPARK UI Toolkit to coexist. Please update to the new version 4.5.0.1.
Regards,
Stephen P.
